My visit to Historical Place

Gorkha is a unique historical place of Nepal. It belongs to the history of Shah dynasty. Prithivi Narayan Shah who unified our country was the King of Gorkha. Last year, we visited this historical place. It was our school excursion. We class ten students along with five teachers visited it eagerly. We want there by school bus. We started our journey at 6:00 a.m. early in the morning. We arrived at Muglin at 9:00 o’clock. We had some snacks and tea there and got on the bus. After and hour, we reached Abukhaireni. We got off the bus and walked through the market. It is a small and beautiful market. After 15 minutes, we got on the bus and started our journey to gorkha. After one and a half hours, we reached the bus stop of Gorkha bazzar. We got off the bus and had our meal in a nearby hotel. After our meal, we walked through the market. It is a small town. Most of the buildings are normal. Some of them are traditional. We saw that only a few buildings are modern. The people of Gorkha are helpful; we realized it. We visited most of the government offices. We interviewed some of the officials in order to get information. They helped us completely. Then, we started our visit to the historical places and things of Gorkha. We started our trekking along the stone-paved route that climbs up the hill. The place is too steep. We climbed up the hill slowly. After a few minutes, we saw an ancient and famous historical building of Gorkha. It is called Tallo Darbar (Lower Palace). It is an old building which was artistically built. We saw beautiful wood carvings of the doors and windows. It has a big yard. We sat there for a few minutes. We took some photographs. Then we climbed up the hill along the stone-paved steps. We reached Gorkha Darbar after half and hour. It was the main palace of King Prithivi Narayan Shah. It was beautifully built. Attractive wood carvings and sculpture seem to be really eye-catching. We realized that everyone’s heart is easily illuminated by the beauty existing in this historical place. We saw that there were some arms inside the palace. We also visited the temple of goddess Kalika which is very close to the palace. We worshipped her and got flowers and Tika. And we hope we were blessed by her. We could see some now-capped mountain peaks. We took some photographs in the pine forest and at the palace as well. We realized that it is also naturally beautiful. Most of our friends felt entire excitement. Then, we went to the place where there is a statue of King Ram Shah. It was artistically made. We took some photographs there. Then, we went back to our bus and stated our journey back to Kathmandu. I have felt that Gorkha is a place of historical importance. I have learn something visiting there. It was our great opportunity to visit the place of historical significance. It can be said that Gorkha is the historical place of worth-visiting. I have felt I was hypnotized by the beauty and historical acquisitions of Gorkha.

Amusing event in my life

Last year, I had an amusing event in my life. After the completion of our final exam, I went to Dharan to meet my uncle. I had not seen him before because he had migrated to India before I was born. After 25 years, he came back and started living in Dharan permanently. I have been living in Pokhar a since I was born. When my exam was over, I bought a bus ticket to go to Dharan. My parents allowed me to go there alone. I got very excited because I had not got and opportunity to travel long distances alone. My bus left on time early in the morning. Our bus stopped at Narayangadha and we were told to have meal. I entered the hotel which is on the bank of the Narayani river. I watched and enjoyed the river while I was having my meal. Meanwhile, a man who was sitting next to me gazed at me deeply and inquired where I was from. He wanted to know my father’s name and asked me some more questions. I answered him honestly. I told him that I was going to Dharan to meet my uncle whom I had never seen before. Then he promised that he would guide me to my uncle’s house. He was also very funny to me as he told some funny stories and jokes while were having our meal.. After having finished our meal, we got on the bus. We didn’t have and opportunity to talk because our seats were not close. When we arrived at Dharan, he gestured me to get off the bus. He called a taxi and told me to get into it but I told him that I had to make a phone call to my uncle, but he again promised to guide me to my uncle’s house. I believed him and did what he told me. After a few minutes, he told the taxi driver to stop it. As he gestured, I took my bag and got of the taxi. He paid my taxi fare, too. Then he pointed to a red house in front of us and told that it belonged to my uncle. I entered the compound and rang the bell at the main door. A lady in her late thirties appeared and I quickly introduced myself. I found she was my aunt. She told that my uncle had gone to Pokhara and would return that day. She provided me some snacks and tea. As I was having tea, I saw the same man talking to my aunt. As he entered the room, she told me that h was my uncle. He smiled at me with a questioning glance. I got surprised why had did not tell the reality on the way to Dharan. Nowadays, too, I ask my uncle whey he cheated me. He answer that is was a very pleasing and entertaining moment to meet me. And he wanted to present me a great surprise. I will never forget that event in my life because it is entirely amusing for me.

Women Empowerment in Nepal

Nepalese women occupy more than fifty percentage of the total population. Generating women’s power is refereed to as women empowerment. The prime keys to their empowerment, which are academic enhancement, economic independence and removal of discriminatory laws, play the crucial roles to strengthen and boost up their status; and ultimately human prosperity and dignity accelerate to the completeness of human civilization. Women empowerment plays a vital role to gear up the pace of development of a well-cultured and just society. If women are weaker development paces slowly. As most of the women in our unjust societies have not been provided fundamental rights, special program to empower them seem to be key measures. It is said that men and women are like two wheels of a car; this aphorism cannot be ignored as it exists in the core of reality. Unless women are as able as men, the existing discriminatory laws and disparity hinder women rights. Aptly balanced and richly harmonious social enhancement attributes to women empowerment in Nepal. That’s why women empowerment, the key factor to social prosperity, proves to be a must to gear up the acceleration of humanity. The prime keys to women’s empowerment contribute to the process of gaining control over self, over ideology and the resources which generate and consolidate their potentiality and inherent capability. Several factors affect their empowerment among which firstly academic attainment and upliftment skilled and amply alert, they automatically get empowered. Therefore, providing equality in educational opportunity plus special provision to secondly, economic independence importantly contribute to women’s empowerment. If women are economically independent, they don’t have to abide by the deeply rooted domination of men, and ultimately they can enjoy the right to property when they have adequate access to the resources to generate stable incomes. That’s why academic upliftment and economic independence are the key measures to empower Nepalese women. Furthermore, by repealing discriminatory laws of the state, the status of women in Nepal can be promoted because it encourages the women to be empowered. For instance, Nepalese women have been provided with parental property right; it definitely empowers them. Similarly, the present constitution of Nepal has provided a mother the right to pass her nationality to her children; it is not disparity but fair justice now. It certainly enhances women’s dignity in the society. Similarly, we can see many discriminatory laws which are to be removed if we have to intensify women’s power and capability in Nepal. Therefore, the legal provision to empower women seems to be prerequisite to other measures. Women empowerment significantly contributes to human prosperity and dignity. Because of various social and legal factors which have been deeply rooted, specially provisions to empower Nepalese women have to be implemented. The prime measure to women empowerment is the legal removal of inequality between men and women.

My Country Nepal

My country Nepal is situated between two large countries Chine and India. According to the census report of 2001 A.D., 2,31,51,423 people are living in my country. The area of her is 1,47,181 square kilometer. The density of population is normal. Only 154 people are living in a square kilometer but the density of population in urban regions is higher than in rural regions. Similarly, valleys and plains are more densely populated the hilly regions. Nepal is an ago-based country. Sixty five percentage people completely depend on agricultural in Nepal. Some of the educated people are employed in other sectors such as teaching, office work, business, etc. although the people belong to various social groups and religions, they really practice ‘unity in diversity’. The followers of one religion respect the people who belong to another religions. She is a Hindu state people enjoy right to other religions too. The feeling and practice of fraternity fosters the rapport between the people. People speak different languages and enjoy different modes of cultures, traditions and festivals. Nepal is famous for angelic natural beauties, unique wonders and gifts in the world. Although she is land-locked, the people from foreign countries are fond of visiting her. She is famous for mountains, rivers, lakes etc. the highest mountain peak in the world , Mt. Everest, fascinates many foreign tourists every year. Through tourism, she is able to earn foreign currency which can be used on development projects. Nepal is rich in water resources. Many rivers flow from high mountains twisting and turning round the hills and move through the Terai. Many brooks and streams serve the people in many ways. They are advantageous for irrigation, transportation, rafting running hydro-electricity projects and so on and so forth. It is said that ‘Hario Ban Nepalko Dhan’. In face, we can get many advantages from forests. Our country Nepal seems to be beautiful because of the green forest, but nowadays the forest is being destroyed in many ways. Deforestation may result many natural disasters such as landslides, over-flood, soil erosion, desertification, and siltation of rivers and lakes. Nowadays the programmes of afforestation and reforestation have preserved the forest, the dwelling of the wild animals. National parks and wild-life reserves preserve many wild animals and birds. Many tourists come to Nepal to watch them. Nepal is a developing country. About 50 percentage of people are literate. Many schools and collages have been running all over the country. In order to advance the socio-economic status of the farmers, they are provide with the facilities of irrigation, modern fertilizers, improved seeds and modern methods of farming. The facilities of electricity, health care, transportation and communication are also increasing. I feel proud to be the citizen of Nepal. We Nepali people respect each other. We are co-operative. I do feel most of the people love the nation. We feel that mother and motherland are same. I do hope that our country Nepal will be the best and most famous country in the world.

My School

The place or building where children are educated or grow is called a school. Schools are established as the institutions for educating and promoting children. We can see that schooling has been a system since the beginning of human civilization. During the ancient time, schools emerged as the holy places. Most of them were established in huts and cottages. During that time, schooling system was not commercial and professional. Nowadays, it has bee changed to harmonize with the intricate essence of modernity. The name of my school is Kendriya Vidyala Zakhama. It is situated in the capital city of India. It was established as primary school 10 years ago. Now, it is secondary school. I feel my school is very big and famous. It has covered a large area, about ten hector of land. The school owns three buildings. The oldest once which consists of fifteen rooms seems to be uniquely antique. Other two new buildings are modern. Altogether the school owns 44 rooms. It also has a big playground where we play multiple sorts of games. We have a big library and a well-facilitated reading room. The science lab is said to be well-equipped. There is an apt provision of a computer lab and a audio-visual room. We can enjoy the facilities of games as volley ball, football, T.T., etc. The flowers blooming in front of the school building lure a new comer’s eyes and illuminate everyone’s zeal and austerity to entertain them. The surrounding of the school seems to be full of scenery and eye-catching beauty. Altogether there are one thousand students studying in different levels (Nursery to class 12). I have been studying there for 13 years. I got admitted in Nursery and now I am in grade ten. I will be studying here for more two years. I am intending to complete my higher secondary education from the same school. Fifty-five teachers are working there. Other ten non-teaching staff are also employed. I do feel that all our respected teachers have been teaching us perfectly. I understand each subject well. I have thought all the teachers are well-qualified and adequately well-trained and amply experienced as well because thy have guided us properly to explore and fabricate our destiny. Each Friday, we don’t have normal classes after the break hour. Our school manages extra-curricular activities such as game, sports, debate, oratory, spelling contest, etc. to germinate our creative potential. At our school, there is sound relationship between the students and the teachers because the true spirit of infantilization has been inextricably harmonized and fortified. All the teachers love us. We respect them and obey their suggestions and advice. The 10 and +12 results are very excellent. Most of the students pass these exams. Although my school is one of the best ones, a few weaknesses can by noted. Nowadays, the surrounding environment of the school has got polluted. And we are frequently disturbed by the noise made by the vehicles. Indeed I like and love my school very much. I feel proud of being a student of this school and I do believe that nothing worsens it.

Nepal is a Himalayan country

Nepal is a mountainous country. She is known as the land of the Himalayas. The Himalayas situated in the northern part of the country must have uplifted the identity and dignity of her. The high mountains in Nepal are covered with snow; but the lower parts of them are covered with grass and plants. Many people live in mountains. Most of the fertile lands are cultivated. The mountains are not densely populated. Life of the people is difficult there. Most of the people are framers. Higher mountains are also used to graze the cattle such as cows, yaks, goats and sheep. The now-capped mountain peaks tempt many foreign tourists. They seem to be attractive but they are getting polluted nowadays. The main attractions of tourism in Nepal are these lofty mountains. These heavenly mountains attributing angelic beauty in Nepal play a cosmic role to the enhancement of tourism. Our tourism trade depends on them. Many tourists eagerly visit Nepal to watch the mountains. Some of them come here to climb the snowy mountains; especially they climb Mt. Everest, the highest peak in the world. Many rare herbs are found in the Himalayan regions of Nepal. We can use them directly s the medicine or they can be used to make important medicines. If we export them to foreign countries, we can earn foreign currency. The snow-capped mountains are the origins of the rivers in Nepal. Therefore, mountains are the permanent sources of water. The climate and environment are completely fresh and healthy in the mountains. That’s why the inhabitants of the mountain regions are always vigorous and robust. We can have some disadvantages from mountains. They are one of the hindrances to the development of the country. The fertility of the land is not rich in the mountains. The farmers are under the poverty line. Roads are the basic requirements of any other development programmers. But road making in mountains proves to be very slow and expensive. The life style of the people is very difficult. Many natural disasters such as landslides, over flood and soil erosion affect the people badly. The main problem in the mountains is lack of good transportation and communication. Nowadays, the life style of the people in the mountains is getting uplifted because the problem of transportation and communication has been lessened. Most of the people have started growing vegetables and fruits which prove to be more advantageous than traditional farming. If the mountain regions are properly developed, the status of the country certainly gets uplifted. It is said that the development of the mountains in Nepal supports the development of the whole country. Unique prosperity of the nation can be achieved if all the mountain regions are apply and amply developed to foster the people’s life style and status. The government and all sectors concerned and expected to play the prime role to alleviate the misery of the inhabitants of the mountain regions.

Tourism in Nepal

Our country Nepal is rich in natural beauties gifts, resources and wonders. There are many places and things of cultural, historical and religious importance. Mt. Everest, the highest peak in the world, lies in Nepal. We are proud of it. The snowcapped mountain peaks, beautiful water resources, the green forests of hypnotic beauty, flora and fauna, etc. tempt many tourists every year. Nepal is known as a suitable place to promote tourism. The nature has given us many things which are liked by tourists. Some tourists come here to enjoy the natural beauties and wonders. Some of them visit our country for trekking and climbing mountains. Some want to learn something about our history, culture, religion and so on. We can see that some tourists come here to enjoy their holidays. Tourism plays a significant role in Nepal. We can get many advantages from it. Firstly, we can earn foreign currency which can be use for our development. Many people have got employed in the offices belonging to tourism. Thus, it helps to lessen the problems of unemployment. Tourists buy our goods, curios and native articles of our country. By the result, our cottage industries can get benefited. Tourism helps our hotel industry. They want to live in good hotels. Many expensive and good hotels have been providing services to them. Similarly, many tourist guides and porters are employed in it. We can learn their languages, cultures and traditions from the tourists. They also learn many things from us. The fame and glory of our nation get widened because they can be their achievements to their friends and relatives. Our country Nepal will be known to the rest part of the world. When they observe our good cultures, traditions and things, they expose them to their country. There are a few disadvantages of tourism. Some of the communicable diseases can be spread by tourists; it is the worst effect of it. Because of tourism, some of the beauty spots are getting polluted. We can see many bottles, plastic bags and others even at the highest peak, Mt. Everest. Some of the tourists can be criminal. They can commit crimes here. There are some problems in the field of tourism in Nepal. The major problems are transportation and security. Most of the beauty spots are situated in remote areas. We have not built roads to go to all these places yet. We have to depend on only air services. Similarly, the problem of security has reduced the number of the tourists. There are not standard hotels in the remote areas. We have to provide all eh facilities to the tourists to promote tourism in Nepal. We have to try to promote tourism in Nepal. All the sectors concerned are expected to give high priority to promote it. The government should provide transportation facilities and security to the tourists. Then, more and more tourists will be tempted to visit our motherland.

Forest in Nepal

Nepal is rich in natural beauties, gifts, resources and wonders. The forest is one of these resources. Nepal is also a mountainous country. Most of the mountains are covered with green forests. It is the living place of animals and birds. Nowadays, it is fast being destroyed but it was completely safe in the past. People clear the forest for various purposes. One of the most important causes of its destruction is rapid population growth. The growing population is compelled to clear the jungle for agriculture and settlement. People cut down the trees for firewood, building materials and furniture. The cattle glaziers take their domestic animals to the jungle to graze. These domestic animals eat up the newly growing plants. By the result, the new plants cannot grow up easily. The silly people set a fire in the jungle. By the result, the wild fire destroys the whole jungle very badly. The main cause of its destruction is poor public awareness. The people who are not aptly conscious and responsible cannot understand the importance and necessity of the forests. Forest destruction invites many disasters. Some to them are drought, landslides, soil erosion, over floods, salutation of rivers and lakes, weather extremes, pollution, green-house effect, ozone layer depletion and desertification. The natural disasters as such are extremely destructive for all the living creatures. If the process of destruction of the forest is not controlled, the future will be extremely risky. We can get many advantages from the jungle. We can preserve wild animals in the jungle. We can get firewood, timber, herbs, grass, etc, from the jungle. It helps us to purify the atmosphere and to reduce the gravity of air pollution. Underground water resources can be saved in the forest. It also helps us to balance eco-system. The problems of drought, weather extremes, landslides, etc. can be alleviated or stopped by the help of the forest. Similarly, the forest of our country attracts many tourists. We can earn foreign currency from them. The natural beauty cannot be preserved without the preservation of the forest. Preservation of the forest proves to be crucial. In order to control the natural disasters, we have to preserve the jungle. We can preserve the forest in many ways. Firstly, we have to educate the people about the importance of the forest. By means of a forestation and reforestation, we can preserve it. The people who clear the jungle for agriculture and settlement should be discouraged to go to the jungle. By establishing many wild life reserves and national parks, we can preserve our forest. Selling of firewood and timber must be banned to preserve it . Our forest should be preserved at any cost. The government as well s private sectors are expected to make and apply concrete plans to preserve it. It is said that preservation of the forests is our own preservation.

Child Rights in Nepal

Human beings want to enjoy freedom, justice and peace. Children naturally want to enjoy rights. They are ignorant and deserve our love. Children are supposed to enjoy some rights. They are right to shelter, right to food, right to health care, right to education, right to expression, right to games and so on. Child rights are very important to enhance human dignity and prosperity. In Nepal, the condition of children is not uniform. There are many children who cannot go to school. Some of them are the children of the poor parents. Their parents compel them to go to work. Because of poverty, they cannot have a balanced diet and are not properly cared. Orphans and street children are in a miserable condition. They cannot get even simple food to live on. Most of them beg walking door to door. We can see many boys sleeping on the pavements of the roadsides or the temples and other public places. Their condition is worse than a dog. Some poor children are kept by the rich as their servants. Some children seem to be working as the house boys and girls in the cities. Some of the children are working at hotels and factories. They are not enjoying their rights. But most of the children go to school for their education. They are not in a miserable condition. They are normally enjoying their rights and freedom. Thus prevailing disparity hinders child rights in Nepal. Nowadays, many NGO’s have been supporting the children in many ways. Some of the major NGO’s are CWIN, SOS, STC, UNDP, UNICEF etc. They especially support the children who are orphans, street children, uncared, unloved and unclaimed. The organizations support them by providing education, health care, balanced diet, even shelter and clothes. Some of the schools have been established for them. Some of the children who seem to be collecting cans, bottles, plastics, etc. are also helped. They are given technical education like tailoring, carpentry, paper work, etc. Thus these NGO’s are supporting the children to maintain a normal life. In order to promote child rights in Nepal, all he sectors concerned should pay their complete attention. Firstly, the children should be provided basic needs such as food, shelter, clothes, etc. education should be made compulsory for all the children. The discrimination between sons and daughters should be avoided. The parents who are uneducated think that education is necessary only for boys, but not for girls. They don not want to send their daughters to schools. Those parents should be convinced. All the street children, orphans, uncared and unwanted ones should be fed, cared and educated. Then automatically the condition of child rights gets enhanced. The government should completely ban child labor at hotels and factories. At least, primary education should be made compulsory for all the children. Every adult should be responsible for promoting child rights in Nepal. All the legal provisions to stop child labor and to promote human rights should be implemented in practice.

Education

Education is very important tool for everyone to succeed in life and get something different. It helps a lot in lessening the challenges of life difficult life. Knowledge gained throughout the education period enables each and every individual confident about their life. It opens various doors to the opportunities of achieving better prospects in life so promotes career growth. Many awareness programmes has been run by the government in enhance the value of education in rural areas. It brings feeling of equality among all people in the society and promotes growth and development of the country. Education plays a paramount role in the modern technological world. Now-a-days, there are many ways to enhance the education level. The whole criteria of education have been changed now. We can study through the distance learning programmes after the 12th standard together with the job. Education is not so costly, anyone one with less money may study continuously. We can get admission in the big and popular universities with fewer fees through the distance learning. Other small training institutes are providing education to enhance the skill level in particular field.
